SMARTIDIOM has embraced the Sorrisos de Julinha project, a solidarity association from Leiria which derived from the movement generated by the Campaign “Tampinhas e Companhia”, set up to help Ana Júlia Sobreiro who suffered from Infantile neuroaxonal dystrophy (IND) since she was 15 months old.
IND is a degenerative disease of the nervous system, whose cause is still unknown, since there is no biological marker to characterise it. Today, despite Ana Júlia Albino Sobreiro having passed away on 30 January 2016, the Association extended support to parents and children who suffer from degenerative pathologies.
SMARTIDIOM has contributed to this solidarity association by collecting old books and selling them in the Mercadinho de Leiria (Leiria’s Market). All the funds that were raised went to the association.
The collection campaign which has mobilised thousands of people enables us to get some technical aids that improve the lives of these children. SMARTIDIOM also continues to contribute by collecting bottle tops for the association.
SMARTIDIOM is proud to have participated in this and in other causes, never forgetting solidarity. If you want to support this cause, you can find more information on the Association’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AssociacaoSorrisosDeJulinha).
